Goodreads Synopsis:

Ruby's world has changed more than she ever could have imagined. She's in love with a powerful Frost King. She's the heir to the Fire Throne. And she may be a Nightblood--the spawn of a vengeful deity hellbent on releasing his wraithlike Minax from their prison. Once freed, these beasts will roam the earth, devouring every last person until he or she is nothing but an empty husk. But Ruby is able to control the Minax to a degree, and now she, her beloved Arcus, and her friend Kai must find a way to bring Frostbloods and Firebloods--sworn enemies--together to make a stand against a foe more deadly than any they've faced. In this heart-pounding finale of Elly Blake's gorgeously written and action-packed Frostblood Saga, the fate of Frostbloods, Firebloods, and all of humanity is at stake.

My Review:

* Thank you Hachette Book Group for sending me a finished copy of Nightblood for an honest review *

Nightblood is the final book in the Frostblood Saga, and it did not disappoint. It was a great conclusion for this trilogy and I am deeply satisfied.

I have been obsessed with the Frostblood Saga ever since book one. I could not get enough! I loved the world, the story, the magic (I'm a sucker for fire and frost magic) and the characters. Nightblood intertwines the characters from Frostblood and Fireblood very well. In this epic conclusion, the frostbloods and firebloods need to work together to defeat a greater threat. Fire and frost are on the opposite side of the spectrum so you can just see how difficult this task is going to be for Ruby, especially with the fued between the two sides.

One of the main reason that had me falling for these books was Ruby and Arcus. I seriously can't get enough of these two! They are so hot and cold for each other (it's so entertaining to read). Ruby and Arcus were either bickering or kissing, seriously there is no in-between with these two! They are very passionate about each other and because of that we get so many swoon worthy moments. Though I did find them and some other characters words and actions to be very childish.

Nightblood has a face-paced plot and I felt the writing to be so light. I found myself flying through the pages. I didn't want to put the book down. I was constantly engaged with the story and the next thing I know I finished the book in a day. The book size is pretty big but that didn't stop me from demolishing it.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves YA fantasy and even those that want to start reading YA fantasy but don't want something heavy.
